Medicine Circle Membership & Digital Courses

Melanie Rivers Art provides online art education through memberships, stand-alone courses, and related digital offerings. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline how our services are provided and the conditions under which you may access them.

By purchasing or accessing any membership, course, or digital product offered by Melanie Rivers Art (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

These Terms do not override any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Scope of Services

Our offerings may include:

  • The Medicine Circle Membership

  • Stand-alone digital art courses

  • Recorded lessons and downloadable materials

  • Community discussion spaces

  • Occasional live or recorded sessions

Content is provided in English. Translations are not currently available.

Eligibility

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 or older with access to the internet and a compatible device. All experience levels are welcome.

Membership Access

The Medicine Circle Membership provides access to:

  • A private community discussion area

  • Monthly art lessons

  • A library of past lessons and courses available while your membership is active

Access to membership content continues only while your subscription remains active.

Stand-Alone & Legacy Courses

Stand-alone courses and previously purchased courses are provided for personal use only. Access methods and platforms may change over time as we update systems and improve the learning experience.

Where applicable, downloadable materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to update how content is delivered while preserving reasonable access for purchasers.

Community Conduct

We ask that all members engage respectfully. Offensive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the Membership without refund.

The Medicine Circle is a creative and supportive space but is not a substitute for professional therapy or medical care. Participants are responsible for seeking appropriate support when needed.

Fees, Payments & Pricing

Membership fees and course prices are listed at the time of purchase and processed through our hosting or payment platforms.

Membership subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis unless cancelled.

We may update pricing or content structure with advance notice. Existing members will always be notified prior to any price changes.

Refunds & Cancellations

You may cancel a new membership subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund by contacting info@melanierivers.ca.

After this period, refunds are not provided unless required by law.

We reserve the right to discontinue or cancel services if necessary, with appropriate refunds issued where applicable.

Intellectual Property

All course content, materials, and recordings remain the intellectual property of Melanie Rivers Art. Content is provided for personal learning use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Members are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of others within community spaces. Unauthorised sharing of private information may result in removal from the Membership.

Live sessions may be recorded. Participation implies consent to be included unless you choose to turn off your camera and adjust your display name.

Limitation of Liability

We provide educational content for general informational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding individual outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Melanie Rivers Art is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our services.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services or legal requirements. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of any updated Terms.
